About the role

Oversees all aspects of facility maintenance and improvement projects, from planning and design to construction and closeout. They ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget while managing budgets, schedules, and stakeholder communication, and ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.


What you'll do

  • Defining project scope, developing schedules, managing budgets, and tracking progress against milestones.
  • Working with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure projects are designed and built according to specifications.
  • Developing and maintaining project budgets, forecasting costs, and identifying potential financial overruns.
  • Communicating project status, managing expectations, and addressing concerns from stakeholders.
  • Ensuring projects comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Maintaining detailed project documentation, preparing status reports, and ensuring proper closeout procedures.
  • Overseeing contractors and subcontractors, ensuring quality work and adherence to contract terms.
  • Identifying and resolving project issues, making recommendations for improvements, and ensuring successful project completion.
  • Establishing Facility Management processes and documentation to ensure proper upkeep of all facilities.
  • Assist in managing Continuous Improvement Planning (CIP) projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Proficiency in developing and managing project budgets, forecasting costs, and identifying potential financial variances.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, contractors, and other team members.
  • Understanding of building codes, construction practices, and related regulations.
  • Ability to identify and resolve project issues, analyze data, and make informed decisions.
  • Project Management Professional certification and/or Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt or Blackbelt (preferred).

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s in project management, construction, engineering, or a related field.
  • Masters (preferred)
