JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Presidential Leadership Academy (PLA) seeks a talented Part-Time intern to support the Presidential Leadership Academy`s social media and communications and marketing efforts.

Job Duties:

• Develop story lines for PLA website as well as other digital and print communications.

• Assist with marketing specifically for social media for PLA recruitment.

• Prepare and release key social media releases (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram).

• Interview PLA students and alumni for PLA stories, a weekly campaign which is posted on Instagram (Thursday) and Facebook (Sunday).

• Assist PLA staff as needed on a variety of tasks, including photo shoots, events, and special projects.

• Provide marketing support in the form of research and analysis of current marketing campaigns and the development of new campaigns.

Requirements and qualifications:

• Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate proficiency in writing, editing and content creation for print, web and social media.

• Ability to provide tactical communications support for current projects and projects in development is key for this position.

• Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.
