Job Summary:

Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is seeking to hire a Clinical Laboratory Associate (CLA) 2, whom will report to the Diagnostic Laboratories Team Leader (DLTL) of Molecular Diagnostics laboratory, and whom will have responsibility for receiving and accessioning specimens for the Nucleic Acid Extraction section, as well as other molecular related tasks with minimal guidance. The CLA 2 will work closely with the Cytogenetics, Clinical Genomics, and Molecular Diagnostics laboratory teams. The CLA 2 performs customer service functions, including telephone etiquette, basic troubleshooting, and specimen-related problem resolutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Receives, accessions, and triages specimens.
• Provides general clerical support.
• The responsibilities listed are a general overview of the position and additional duties may be assigned.

Desired Expereince:
• Prior diagnostic laboratories experience

Position Shift:
• VUMC, Vanderbilt Medical Laboratories, Molecular Diagnostics laboratories, located at our MetroCenter Campus in Nashville, Tennessee (TN), 1st Shift, Monday-Friday, weekend shifts scheduled as needed (either a Saturday or a Sunday)
