Our aim is to facilitate the research and development of innovative vegetable oils and fats from raw materials all the way to application in finished confectionery, margarines, bakery, fried goods and many other applications. For that we are looking for an enthusiastic scientist who drives research projects related to new products, functional improvements, raw materials, processing, analytics, contaminant mitigation research and all other aspects lipid science related. We would like you to join our team at our brand new Research and Development Center in Hamburg.<br/><br/><strong>Your Key Responsibilities</strong><br/> <ul><li>Apply knowledge to design studies and find technically sound solutions to meet customer needs</li><li>Generate and advance new lipid related research ideas into projects</li><li>Define and execute the full scope of research project objectives and deliverables</li><li>Manage the development of future lipid solutions for a wide range of final products with emphasis in the areas of confectionery, bakery, spreads, snacks and meat/dairy alternatives</li><li>Screen and follow topic related patent environment</li><li>Lead the creation of intellectual property within the projects</li><li>Collaborate extensively with various internal stakeholders like the broad scientific community within ADM, quality departments as well as commercial, regulatory, legal and operations teams</li><li>Initiate and manage partnerships with external parties e.g. universities, research institutes, industry associations etc.</li><li>Provide scientific guidance to the EMEA Lipid science and application team</li><li>Implement new technologies and tools to improve experimental and project design</li><li>Closely collaborate with the technical account management team to provide support in science based customer communication and development projects</li><li>Report and present research findings internally and externally</li></ul><strong>Your Profile</strong><ul><li>A PhD in food science, food chemistry or food technology and prior work experience of minimum 3 years in an R&amp;D function in the food industry</li></ul><ul><li>In depth knowledge of vegetable oils and fats, and related refining, modification and application technologies</li><li>Skilled project manager</li><li>Good command of digital R&amp;D laboratory tools</li><li>Fluent level of German and English</li><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills</li><li>Ability to explain complex scientific concepts to non-scientific audiences</li><li>High dedication and self-motivation</li><li>Team player</li><li>Hands-on style and service mentality</li></ul><strong>Our Offer</strong><ul><li>Challenging projects, a high level of personal responsibility and freedom for idea generation</li><li>Room for innovative thinking and growth with the possibility to manage your own career path</li><li>A company culture which promotes continuous learning and diversity</li><li>Excellent career and development opportunities in a world leading nutrition company</li><li>An attractive remuneration including a variety of social benefits</li></ul>Learn more about ADM at www.adm.com.</p> <h3>City</h3> <p>Hamburg</p> <h3>State</h3> <p>Hamburg</p> <h3>Location Country</h3> <p>Germany</p>
