IT Chapter Lead SAS Data Engineering

<p>Within TECH Finance &amp; Risk we are looking for a Chapter Lead SAS Data Engineering to lead our team of top-quality experts. The new chapter lead will be responsible for improving our SAS data engineering workforce, modelling future proof data structures, modernizing our data pipeline &amp; ETL frameworks.</p><p></p><p><span>The team</span></p><p>You will be working in a team where you will learn, share your knowledge, have fun and collaborate together with a team of likeminded people. Than you might be the person we are looking for!</p><ul><li>Identify and fulfil IT knowledge gaps within your chapter ensuring that your chapter is qualitatively properly staffed.</li><li>Continuously work on skills improvements, expertise and personal growth of your IT engineers</li><li>Ensure quality and ownership for work delivered via sprints, set and improve standards according to the agile way of working</li><li>Leading role in processes and decisions which are strategic for your chapter, such as the vendor selection, technology selection, offshore strategies</li><li>Align with IT vendors, ING Infra departments and the end users</li><li>Line management tasks such as hiring new employees, assess performance of current employees</li><li>Together with your Engineers: end-responsible for keeping your IT environment up and running, healthy, secure, documented, and standardized where possible</li><li>Together with the Product Owners of the squads and the Chapter Lead of the Business analysts, you balance team development, delivery and timelines</li><li>Member of IT Area and Tribe Leadership team.</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><span>How to succeed</span></p><p><span>We hire smart people like you for your potential. In return, we’ll back you to develop into an even more awesome version of yourself.</span></p><ul><li>We are looking for a candidate with 8+ years of experience in a Data Engineering role, who has attained a Graduate degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Information Systems or another quantitative field.</li><li>A senior engineer in SAS technologies (SAS DI studio, SAS base, SAS EG, SAS VA)</li><li>Experience with ETL processes and a good understanding of Data Integration concepts</li><li>Experience with online and/or streaming data integration and pipelines</li><li>Experience with database design, modelling and data analysis</li><li>Excellent knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts</li><li>Experience with Linux operating system or other Unix systems</li><li>Experience with CI/CD</li><li>Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, to be able to align with various stakeholders and cross border squads</li><li>Technical leadership skills, able to motivate and advance the data engineering practice and its craftmanship to the next level</li><li>Understanding of Agile - Scrum methodology</li><li>Understanding of Kafka technology and implementations</li><li>Hands-on and pro-active attitude</li><li>Fluent in English</li></ul><p></p><p>Desirable Certifications:</p><ul><li>Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)</li><li>Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC)</li><li>Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)</li></ul><p></p><p><span>Rewards and benefits</span></p><p><span>We want to make sure that it’s possible for you to strike the right balance between your career and your private life.
