TikTok TV team leads product and growth initiatives for TikTok TV app on all TV platforms with a data-driven and results-focused engineering and product mindset. We are seeking talented individuals who enjoy the intersection of product, data, design, and engineering to help us reach the next milestone of billions of users.

In the PGC, TikTok TV team, you'll have the opportunity to build TikTok TV app on all TV platforms to bring joys to our users in all scenes. You'll define A/B testing frameworks to measure and improve user retention and engagement. We encounter a diversity of technical challenges, allowing you to get a firsthand look at what technologies the most innovative organizations are using and be able to build up a bottom-up growth strategy from scratch. You'll be joining a full-stack team that can leverage all of TikTok's existing frameworks and be a part of designing and implementing new techniques and foundation work that can further improve user experience and showcase TikTok's value proposition.

We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship in 2024. Internships at TikTok aim to offer students industry exposure and hands-on experience. Turn your ambitions into reality as your inspiration brings infinite opportunities at TikTok.

This Internship Program runs for 10-24 weeks. Candidates can also apply for both Off-cycle Intern position and Program Intern position for the Fall.

Responsibilities
1. Assist in the front-end development of international short video TV projects.
2. Help analyze business needs and contribute to designing and implementing technical solutions.
3. Support ongoing improvements and optimizations to enhance system stability and scalability.
4. Work closely with international development teams on cross-regional projects, with opportunities for exposure to multiple locations.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing an Undergraduate/Master degree in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience with one of the coding in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Be able to work onsite for at least 12 weeks
• Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.

Preferred Qualifications
• Demonstrated software engineering experience from previous internship, work experience, coding competitions, or publications.
• Proficient in performance analysis and optimization methods for Web and Hybrid scenarios.
• Have in-depth knowledge of at least one framework (such as React or Vue) and technologies like Chromium, V8, Node.js, with the ability to perform low-level optimizations.
