What You’ll Do:

As an Outside Services Shipping Coordinator you’ll be part of our manufacturing team located in Decorah, IA. You’ll get to: 

Creates service order documentation and print packet for sub-contract suppliers.  Prepares product and makes shipments to sub-contract suppliers.

CREATE SERVICE ORDER ON-LINE IN JDE

Ensure accurate piece, pound and container counts. Ensure proper supplier. Ensure proper pricing/price list code. Provide proper shipping direction. Ensure Lot Number information is recorded accurately. Provide appropriate directions for processing/gaging. Identifies and requests certification.

PREPARE SUB-CONTRACT PACKET

With Supervision, ensures appropriate prints, supporting documents and gages (if required) are supplied with each shipment. LDQC All service orders must be stamped LDQC. A “Safety” lot control card must be filled out and placed in every tub or on every skid. Ensure all LDQC documentation supports actual product i.e. container count, piece count, etc. If discrepancy, contact QA Auditor or Supervisor – issue must be resolved before shipment.

3.   SPC

Ensure SPC paperwork is provided when required. Gages When print specifies gages required to be supplied to supplier, retrieve required gages from QA personnel.

PREPARE SUB-CONTRACT PACKET CONTINUED:

Lot control. Keep separate. Must be processed on a separate service order. Handle with care. Supplier rejections. Hard copy goes with parts to supplier. DMR

PREPARE TRUCK BILL

Accurately identify product, weight and containers. Ensure ship to and ship via are accurately defined. Identify and use appropriate shipping charge.

PRODUCT PREPARATION

Prepares product for shipment ensuring the proper container, bags, liners and skids are used, while ensuring safe transportation to supplier. Choose appropriate skid size. Load and stack pans properly. All LDQC parts must be skidded separately by lots. Ensure each container is identified properly. Ensure proper container is used based on supplier and/or process. Unbag/bag product. Pan to pan (proper type). Pan to tub. Tub to pan.

LOADING/UNLOADING OF TRUCKS

With Supervision, ensures proper loading of trailer, evenly distributing weight to driver’s specifications. Ensures HOT drops are loaded on the rear end of the trailer. With Supervision, assists in unloading trucks. Stages product appropriately.

Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

TEAMWORK

Accepts job assignments and assists co-workers as needed. Attends team meetings, actively participates and follows team guidelines. Works cooperatively to meet Operational and team objectives.

SAFETY AND HOUSEKEEPING

Follows all established company safety procedures and reports unsafe hazards or violations to Supervisor. Ensures equipment is in a safe operational state prior to use.  Completes maintenance work requisition and notifies Supervisor of maintenance requirements. Operates fork-trucks ensuring all established safety rules are followed utilizing mirrors in aisle-ways watching out for pedestrians. Reports overfilled pans to EH&S or Supervisor. Ensures work area is neat, clean and orderly.
