Boeing Commercial Airplanes' (BCA) Flight Operations Engineering team is seeking an Associate Aerodynamics Engineer (Level 2) to develop and test operational performance databases used by airline Customers to plan and dispatch flights for Boeing Commercial Airplanes. This position is located in Seal Beach, CA.
Position Responsibilities:
Analyzes aerodynamics data and airplane characteristics for all Boeing Commercial Airplane models.
Assists in researching resolution of Customer inquiries.
Performs takeoff, landing, and enroute performance analysis utilizing Boeing Standardized Computerized Aircraft Performance (SCAP) and Enroute software.
Develops and test Boeing operational performance databases. Coordinate requirements for database and other data deliverables.
Analyzes, organizes, and transforms performance data for compatibility with various software applications and tools.
Assess proposed regulations and changes to aircraft certification that could impact aircraft performance databases.
Reviews organizational process and workflow regularly for continuous improvement.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Seal Beach, CA.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering.
1+ years of experience in Electrical, Aerospace, Industrial, and/or Mechanical Engineering.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience in Airplane Performance and Flight Operations.
Typical Education/Experience:
Associate (Level 2): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range (Associate): $81,600 - $110,400
