Job Description
Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control in Grand Prairie, Texas is seeking a motivated Early Career Test Engineer to join our team. You will support the testing of printed circuit board assemblies / circuit card assemblies (PCBAs / CCAs), electronic subsystems, and missiles, helping to maintain efficient production flows while learning best practices in test development and troubleshooting.
In this hands-on role, you will work closely with production technicians, senior test engineers, design engineers, and quality teams to identify and resolve issues, improve test processes, and contribute to first-pass yield goals. Our team is responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of test systems, and you will play a key role in providing technical support, test equipment improvements, and troubleshooting expertise
What You Will Be Doing
As a Systems Integration / Test Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting test systems, providing technical expertise, and driving improvements to test equipment and software. You will work with a range of technologies, including TestStand®, LabVIEW®, and CVI®, to control signal generation and measurement tools, conduct Environmental Stress Screening (ESS), and functional testing.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Execute and monitor production test processes, including functional testing, boundary scan, environmental stress screening (ESS), and system level verification
• Troubleshoot test failures at the board and system level using standard electronic test equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and power supplies)
• Assist in developing, documenting, and maintaining test procedures, work instructions, and fixtures to support efficient and repeatable production testing
• Analyze test data and failure trends to identify root causes of defects in collaboration with engineering and quality items
• Support the debugging and repair of test equipment, fixtures, and software to minimize downtime in the production line
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance test coverage, reduce cycle time, and improve overall product yield and quality
• Document test results, non-conformances, and corrective actions in accordance with company quality management systems
• Provide technical support to production operators and technicians during daily operation
• Collaborate with design engineers to incorporate design-for-test (DFT) principles into new product introductions (NPI)
Why Join Us
We're looking for a highly skilled and motivated ATE Test Engineer to join our team. If you have a strong background in Electrical, Computer, or Computer Science Engineering, we encourage you to apply. As a self-starter with excellent communication and problem-solving skills, you will thrive in this role, working on complex test systems and collaborating with cross-functional teams. This position offers the opportunity to develop test equipment for a varied range of electronic and electrooptical systems, and to make a meaningful impact on our organization.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar STEM related field
