Position Title: Principal Systems Engineer
Location: Richardson, Texas
SUMMARY:
Fast-growing Power Management division focusing on Battery Management, Motor Control and Analog Power is looking for a highly motivated, hands-on, and experienced Senior System Engineer Team Lead to define, support, and drive our new battery management & mixed signal products strategy forward for industrial, consumer, and automotive markets.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with cross-functional teams to define high performance battery management solutions including product architecture, specifications, system requirements, and product competitive analysis
- Refine customer requirements into internal specifications for design teams (ERD/MRD) for new products
- Interface with design engineering on systems design aspects including tradeoffs, sub-circuit level design requirements, top level simulations and help design understand customer use cases to create robust product definitions
- Work with product development manager on roadmap development and field applications engineers on customer support
- Work with test and characterization engineers to develop a thorough characterization and production test solution
- Generate datasheets, collaborate with applications engineers on user guides, application reports, white papers, and training material.
- Provide system level solutions to customers, application engineers and sales teams
- Work with firmware development teams on new IP developments
- Mentor and train junior engineers
QUALIFICATIONS:
- MSEE degree in electrical engineering and at least 15 years' related work experience
- Past systems definition experience in battery management solutions with track record of success
- Experience working directly with customers in consumer, industrial, and automotive markets
- Experience in analog design with deep understanding of bandgaps, amplifiers, DACs, ADCs, bias circuits, LDOs, buck and boost regulators
- Experience with translating system level requirements to design parameters
