About the role

POSITION SUMMARY:                    This Position entails system entering of A/P invoices and accurate record keeping of accounting files for the company.  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • At least three (3) years of accounts payable experience, including 3-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and proof of delivery documents.
  • Data entry experience.
  • Typing skills of at least 30 wpm.
  • Ability to communicate in English (verbal and written) at an intermediate level in a business environment.
  • Basic Computer skills (MS, Outlook & Excel).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to accurately process alpha/numeric information.
  • Possess strong organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate (read and write) effectively, professionally and friendly in a business environment.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work independently with limited supervision.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with vendors and fellow employees.
  • Ability to work extended hours, holidays and/or weekends as necessary.
Preferred 
  • Knowledge of AS400 system 
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish at an intermediate level.
 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary
  • Enter A/P invoices in the AS400 system for payment
  • File A/P vouchers
  • Communicate and assist with vendor calls on a daily basis
  • Review & Investigate Statements and other requests as required
  • Code invoices and expense reports daily
Secondary 
  • Separate checks for distribution of mailing
  • Create new vendor files & labels
  • Prepares and distribute Checks and ACH payment details
  • Perform physical inventories indoor and outdoor
  • Performs additional related duties as assigned
 PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Candidate may be subject to physicals as required along with other tests as applicable

  • The employee is continuously required to sit
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty (20) pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

 SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED: This Receives direct supervision from the Accounting Manager and indirect supervision from the Regional Controller.  Does not exercise supervision over any position.  CONDITIONS:
