Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum five years’ experience working in a dental clinical setting. Three or more years of proven success in leadership. Knowledge of clinical procedures, infection control, knowledge of community standards of care, laws, and regulations regarding dental practice. Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly. Must be able to use or learn to use with appropriate training computers and computer programs, including but not limited to YNHS selected Electronic Health Records Management systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Convenient if bilingual in English/Spanish, and/or ability to sign. Candidate has not been sanctioned or excluded from participation in federal or state healthcare programs by a federal or state law enforcement, regulatory, or licensing agency.
Example of Duties and Responsibilities:
•Provide daily management of dental sites in the Yakima Valley, overseeing clinical operations.
•Work with leadership to improve quality of patient care.
•Monitor staff performance to maintain efficient systems and workflows within the clinics.
•Stay current on standard clinical procedures, laws, and regulations.
•Work with department supervisors to maximize team-based care, maintain adequate staffing levels, and provide maximum patient service.
•Develop and lead clinical staff training.
•Work closely with Business Manager to align clinical procedures with billing processes.
•Assure clinic staff completes assigned job duties.
•Assist with customer service activities and grievances from patients, and public, to resolve issues.
•Ensure that services rendered in the clinic are completed in accordance with clinic policies and procedures to maintain consistency and quality.
•Work with YNHS Human Resources department to assure support positions are evaluated on a timely basis and open positions are filled in a timely manner.
•Participate in quality assurance activities over all dental sites.
•Assure professional documentation, electronically and on paper, is completed timely and accurately. Develop expertise in processes in order to train and analyze staff performance.
•Actively participate in staff meetings and quality assurance activities as applicable to the position, including submitting all necessary forms or documents to maintain clinic accreditation.
•Maintain organized, clean, efficient, and confidential work area at all times.
•Represent YNHS in local professional meetings as requested.
•Perform all other duties as assigned by clinic administration.
•Must be able to maintain confidential information with regards to patients, following all HIPAA laws and YNHS policies.
