Overview

PURPOSE STATEMENT: 

The Vice President of Clinical & Quality Technology is accountable for the most critical applications which are those technologies focused on ensuring patient safety and the highest quality of care as well as driving a great user experience for our clinicians.  This role is responsible for developing the clinical and quality technology product strategy and roadmap across all Acadia service lines, implementing and maturing all application development processes, including SDLC and agile, and driving quality rigor to ensure flawless implementation and on-going support of Acadia’s applications.  This leader is responsible for the development and delivery of innovative and reliable software solutions that enables Acadia to achieve its strategic goals and serve our stakeholders with excellence.  This position is committed to fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and customer-centricity, while ensuring that our applications are secure, scalable, reliable, and easy to use.  This position will be a proven leader with excellent communications and expertise in delivering quality solutions. 

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  • Build the enterprise application/product strategy and roadmap that includes a thoughtful plan for application rationalization for all our quality and clinical technologies 
  • Lead technology direction and own end-to-end planning and execution across the application portfolio from infrastructure, application, and integrations for all modernization, digitalization and innovation initiatives 
  • Create a consistent and rigorous full application lifecycle function, from design and development to testing and deployment, ensuring that our applications are delivered on time, within budget, with quality, and to specifications 
  • Build and maintain end-to-end application architecture, documenting SPOFs and plans for timely resolution. 
  • Ensure the quality implementation of EMRs and all other clinical and quality technology solution. 
  • Transform the clinical and quality technology function into a product management and agile organization including business relationship and product management industry aligned disciplines 
  • Collaborating with executive business leaders to identify automation opportunities, then leading the development and delivery of enterprise standard business processes, business and technical requirements, and technology options with reliable cost estimates (one-time and ongoing) 
  • Build and scale up the application team by recruiting, developing and retaining top talents 
  • Ensuring that our quality and clinical systems are developed or vended using best practices and industry standards, including security, scalability, and usability. 
  • Establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the application portfolio and identify areas for improvement. 
  • Managing the application budget and resource allocation to ensure that projects are delivered with budget constraints. 
  • Building relationships with external vendors, such as WellSky, and partners to leverage expertise and resources and ensure the realization of contractual obligations 
  • Ensure customer focus and satisfaction among the internal team. Acts as a customer advocate, frequently communicating with customers and managing customer expectations 
  • Engage and consult with senior leaders to align with strategic business goals and technical initiatives. 
  • Establish credibility and maintain strong working relationships with technical and non-technical teams involved with information technology matters including Legal, Operations, Risk, Internal Audit, etc. 
  • Communicate effectively and professionally in all forms of communication with internal and external teams/customers 
  • OTHER FUNCTIONS:

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS: 

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science / management information systems / engineering; or equ
