A DAY IN THE LIFE:
Tandem Diabetes Care is hiring for 4 Software Engineering Interns! Our interns will have the opportunity to contribute to the design, troubleshooting, documentation, testing, and debugging of software for our company’s medical devices, mobile applications, and/or web applications.
- Under direct supervision, develops, modifies, and tests software units per corporate software process documents.
- Contributes to software design specifications, interface descriptions, and other software documentations.
- Contributes to software validation (write, dry run & review) & verification protocols.
- Under supervision, participates in formal test execution.
- Assists with developing unit and/or integration tests.
- Under supervision, performs hardware/software integration.
- Embraces the Design Control process by participating in design reviews and maintaining design history files.
- Supports software testing with utility software or special purpose embedded software.
- Confirms completion of required training plan before assuming job responsibilities.
- Ensures work is performed in compliance with company policies including Privacy/HIPAA and other regulatory, legal, and safety requirements.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
YOU’RE AWESOME AT:
- Able to effectively convey information related to work product in one-on-one conversations or in a group.
- Able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Able to alter behavior and opinions in light of new information.
- Experienced with Object Oriented Programming.
YOU'LL NEED:
- Working towards an undergraduate or graduate degree in in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar related field
- For Embedded Software Engineers: experience in the “C” programming language.
- For Web Application Engineers: experience in either ReactJs, JavaScript, Dot Net Core, SQL, NO-SQL, or C#.
- Intern experience in related environment preferred.

COMPENSATION:
The starting base pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00 per hour. Base pay will vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and may also fluctuate depending on candidate’s location and the overall job market.
**This is a temporary position. As a temporary employee you will be employed through a staff agency partner. Benefits during your temporary assignment may be provided by the staffing agency. Access to Tandem sponsored benefits is contingent upon conversion from temporary to regular full-time status. Conversion is determined based upon business need and job performance.
