Shock Program Medical Director

Overview

If you deliver a dose of compassion to every patient you see, you may be an ideal addition to the Legacy community. You’ll provide medical and surgical services within an assigned department, forging relationships with staff and delivering expert care to patients. Responsibilities

Provides medical leadership and clinical oversight to assigned medical specialty practice.  Supervises all physicians at his or her assigned site(s).  Assists in establishing and operating within department budgets.  Assists with program development and oversees quality of care for the practice.

Qualifications

Education:

• Graduate of a four-year accredited U.S. Medical school or equivalent.
• Completed approved residency in an applicable medical specialty.

 

Experience:

• Minimum two years clinical experience in an applicable medical specialty.
• Active member in good standing of Hospital Medical Staff.
• Prior experience as a physician leader.

Licensure

Certification/Licensure:

• M.D. or D.O. (DPM, if required for specialty).
• Board certified in applicable medical specialty
• Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state(s) of practice.
