Position Overview:
The Maritime and Intelligence Systems Versatile Technologist will be a part of a high-performing team. This position will design, install, operate, secure, and maintain dedicated program Information Technology (IT) Infrastructure that is required to deliver products to our customers. The position will require the individual to support users at remote military locations and work with virtual teammates across multiple time zones. As a member of our team, you will have an opportunity to perform a multi-disciplined range of technical systems and application activities. This role will team up with program engineering personnel to design, deploy, and maintain effective cost-efficient information technology solutions that support the Boeing Defense Systems programs.
Position Responsibilities:
Work in both Linux and Windows environments.
Lead Information Technology projects that provide dedicated program infrastructure.
Provide technical solutions for a wide range of difficult problems.
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure infrastructure solutions meet program requirements and schedule.
Perform a multi-disciplined range of technical systems and application activities.
Design, install, configure, troubleshoots, and provides maintenance of systems hardware, software and components.
Ensure Information Technology infrastructure conforms with standard architectural objectives.
Provide creative problem solving, critical thinking, and advanced troubleshooting skills across a broad domain of secure network and computing systems.
Contribute to the completion of specific programs and projects.
Interact frequently with inter-organizational personnel and external customers.
Perform hardware and software installation, configuration and disposition of servers and workstations to support the architecture.
Provide complex problem resolution, root cause analysis and technical support for delivery systems.
Participate in the design, validation and configuration management of computing delivery systems.
Plan and coordinates system changes.
Administer user system access and establishes safeguards to protect information to meet security requirements.
Mentor, lead, and train others.
Work Authorization:
This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance, with a current Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (U.S. Citizenship required) or requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
5 years or more of experience working with COTS applications, O/S, and networking integration in a Windows &/or Linux environment (knowledge of Linux containers).
5 years or more of experience with completing configurations, installations, and upgrades of computer hardware and software, and provide system support to a suite of custom, application-specific software solutions.
