We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal or Sr. Paralegal to support our attorneys in managing a diverse caseload, including matters related to senior care. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the litigation process, conducting research, organizing documents, and assisting in hearing preparation, with a specific focus on senior care matters. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth.

 
 

More about the role

  • Process guardianship matters in accordance with legal requirements and procedures.
  • Assist attorneys in the areas of civil litigation, DHS medical assistance, and estate work.
  • Schedule hearings, depositions, and other court-related events.
  • Assist in hearing preparation, including organizing exhibits. 
  • Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analyze case law, statutes, and regulations.
  • Organize and maintain case files, exhibits, and other relevant documents.
  • Assist in drafting and reviewing legal correspondence and contracts.
  • Coordinate and manage document production.
  • Stay updated on relevant legal developments and changes in court rules and procedures.

Requirements

  • Paralegal level: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience. Litigation experience preferred.
  • Sr. Paralegal level: Minimum of 5-10 years of experience. Litigation experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of legal concepts, procedures, and terminology.
  • Proficiency in legal research platforms and case management software.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work product.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Familiarity with electronic filing systems and e-discovery processes.
