Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world’s leading global law firms with offices in strategic hubs of commerce, law, and government across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, is seeking to hire a highly motivated Business Development Coordinator to join our award-winning Business Development team. Reporting to the Director, this position will primarily support our Strategic Initiatives and Task Forces teams. The Coordinator is responsible for assisting and supporting business development plans, projects, and initiatives across offices, practices, industries, and business development functions for multiple stakeholders.
The Coordinator will support the implementation of business development goals and activities and will be expected to coordinate day-to-day activities at a fast pace. You’ll be assisting in the planning, coordination, and advancement of critical client-centric business development strategies across the department.
Responsible for generating superior quality work product in multiple formats, the ideal candidate must be self-motivated, responsive, analytical and detail-oriented. Bringing exceptional organizational skills and a high energy level, you’ll demonstrate the flexibility and commitment needed to timely and effectively support the needs of multiple business development initiatives.

Key functions and responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Provides administrative and substantive support to business development team colleagues on a broad range of projects and strategic firm initiatives.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to accomplish multiple assignments and deliverables on an ongoing basis under tight deadlines.
Schedules department virtual and in-person meetings and calls and coordinates logistics, including booking conference rooms, arranging videoconferences, sending out event meeting requests and preparing meeting materials.
Coordinates travel arrangements for business development team and manages, submits, and tracks expenses.
Attends, facilitates, and participates meaningfully in team meetings; records and distributes follow-up action items.
Drafts and edits correspondence, presentations and visual resources, and other documents in multiple formats (e.g., PowerPoint presentation slides, Excel spreadsheets and pivot tables, Word documents), collaborating with colleagues across departments to format, edit, proofread, and compile deliverables to firm standards.
Leverages firm tools such as InterAction to manage data, conduct research, and create reports in support of business development campaigns, including developing mailing lists.
Coordinates firm-hosted business development events, including receptions, client entertainment outings, and substantive presentations, working closely with participating lawyers and business development colleagues on invitation list development, event materials, participant tracking, on-site management, and targeted follow-up activities.
Supports cross-collaboration initiatives and maintain business plan documents.
Coordinates and maintains tracking of business development activities, reporting tools (e.g., spreadsheets, databases, and reports) and action items and assists in data collection, data entry, and basic analysis.
Inventories, tracks, and reports on metrics against business plans with direction from the respective team members.
Coordinates team members’ requests for cross-functional support (e.g., marketing & communications, events, IT, facilities, human resources, business operations).
Responds to emails on behalf of business development team, including directing requests to other departments as appropriate, initiating project-related work.
Coordinates responses to ad hoc assignments from department leadership.
Experience and qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years of directly related relevant professional experience
