Title and Summary

Vice President, Finance Business Partner, SME

Overview:
This position, which reports to the Chief Financial Officer, Commercial will partner with the business and global teams to drive forward and support the Global SME business strategy.

This role will ensure sound financial controls are in place, lead the SME finance team, and maximize return on investment. Being able to analyze data, think strategically and provide leadership are key attributes for success as is the ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders located across the globe.

Role:
• Work cross-functionally with business partners to support financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, and target setting for the SME business.
• Partner with regional business/product teams and global functions (product, services, compliance, legal and regulatory) to optimize revenue opportunities for new and existing customer deals.
• Fully support the SFDC workflow process through reviewing and approving global deals and contracts.
• Work closely with the business to identify, measure and deliver expense efficiency opportunities and drive process improvements.
• Lead and develop a high performing finance team.
• Ensure a sound, well-controlled financial environment.
• Support financial and investor relations reporting requirements.
• Produce and present product financials and analysis of business performance including tracking of progress against budget, KPIs and business cases
• Partner and engage with other Mastercard finance functions including Controllership, Tax, Treasury, Core Payments, Services and regional finance teams
• Liaise with external customers and advisers

All About You:
• Proven ability to build high performing teams, history of strong leadership, teamwork and the ability to work in a matrixed organization
• Experience in leading a team that is geographically dispersed
• Fluency in English. Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
• Demonstrated history of thoughtful risk taking, business acumen, thought leadership, commitment, and strong sense of urgency
• Executive presence, ability to influence others; demonstrated intellectual horsepower
• Ability to both think strategically and provide an executive-level view while also being able to dive into the details
• Ability to travel on occasion
• MBA and/or CPA/Chartered Accountant preferred
• Solid accounting skills, excellent finance skills including modelling and scenario analysis, budget, planning and forecast experience, experience in risk management and a solid understanding of the business or demonstrated learning agility are required. Operational experience very desirable
• Experience in working with external boards and regulators is a plus
• International experience is a plus as well as geographic mobility
