JOB DETAILS

Department: Internal Medicine
FTE: 0.8 (64 hours per pay period)
Workdays: Monday - Friday
Shift(s): Days
Shift Length: 8 hours
Location: In-Person

Other: This RN role will work with all Internal Medicine patients including those with Chronic Pain.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Within the context of the Hennepin Healthcare System Relationship-Based Care practice model, and under general supervision, the registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care by:

  • Protecting, promoting wellness and optimizing health
  • Triaging patients by assessing severity of symptoms and referral to appropriate setting or level of care
  • Alleviating suffering through the treatment of the human response
  • Partnering with the patient, their family and significant others
  • Documenting interventions and an individualized plan of care
  • Educating patient on their disease process
  • Assuring continuity of care
  • Educating patient and family in preventative care which promotes health and well being

 

  

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
  • Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Minnesota
  • One year of ambulatory experience in a primary clinic setting (within the last three years)
  • One year of nursing experience in ambulatory caring for patients with chronic pain
