Family Office- AP and Accounting Associate

Main Objective: Primary responsibilities include accounts payable and general ledger processing along with support of applicable statutory and financial reporting for family office entities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Organize invoices, proposals etc. in applicable folders in SharePoint
- Process invoices for each entity timely and accurately for review, approval, and payment
- Research and remediate issues with incoming invoices
- Process credit card transactions in the general ledger system by entity
- Maintain and organize W-9 forms on family office SharePoint site
- Help prepare files for 1099 reporting for each calendar year for various entities and liaison with Arthrex SALT team to create/mail the 1099s
- Mange account payable as well as Accounting Finance outlook mailboxes
- Assist with journal entry preparation for various areas including depreciation expense and monthly accruals
- Assist with preparation of upload of financial statements for various properties into general ledger system
- Reconcile intercompany balances monthly as well as follow up, research, and resolve any reconciling items timely.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure any outstanding items are resolved in a timely manner including remediating stale outstanding checks
- Update procedure write-ups for the role as processes change
- Help maintain monthly close checklist and ensure signoff process is completed timely by partnering with the family office team.
- Continue to look for ways to streamline processes
- Other ad-hoc projects

Education and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent required
Associates degree in accounting or related field preferred
1 year of accounts payable and/or accounting experience preferred
Background in wealth management or family office environment preferred
Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
- Tech Savvy with advanced Microsoft Office365 skills including Outlook, Excel, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Word
- Ability to work on confidential information and exercise discretion and sound judgement
- Problem solving and analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously with high attention to detail
- Detail-oriented
- Highly adaptable with excellent time-management and follow-through skills
- Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills required
- Working knowledge of PCs, databases, and general office equipment

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:
Virtual machines and laptops. Tech Savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Suite programs, Proficiency in Office 365 (Excel/Word/PowerPoint), SharePoint, OneDrive. Experience with SEI Archway Platform and SAGE FAS a plus.
