Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop, advise, and review acquisition strategies, plans and schedules to accomplish program objectives and technical requirements.
- Coordinate and consolidate team inputs from integrated product team members in support of the program recommendations, reviews, and written drafts of program plans.
- Coordinate, participate in and document integrated product team meetings assembled to address programmatic, engineering, logistical or contractual issues that pose risks to the programs performance, budget and schedule.
- Prepare and staff program decision documents at senior Army Staff levels.
- Develop and update briefings, point papers and other required documentations.
- Other Acquisition Program tasks as assigned.
- Assist in creating aviation related technical documents used by operators and system maintainers.
- Requirements include creating technical publications and change packages from vendor source data, creating graphics and wiring diagrams, and verifying and validating developed procedures.
- Use photographs, drawings, diagrams, animation, and charts to increase the understanding of the intended audience.
- Work with technical staff to make products easier to use, and thus, requiring fewer instructions.
- Standardize content across all platforms and media.
- Gather usability feedback from customers, designers, and all stakeholders.
- Perform QA (Quality Assurance) review of documents written by peers.
- Ensure all documentation is stored in document repository under version control.
- Possess strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills.
- Participate in applicable workgroups and organizational meetings.
- Assists in creating programmatic and source selection documentation.
- Assists in reviewing and creating Contract Requirement Packages.
- Assist in the writing of Request for Information (RFI’s).
Required Skills/Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree and eight (9) years or more of hands-on relevant experience/HS +12-15 years
• Must have extensive knowledge and understanding of DoDI 5000 series of Acquisition Instructions.
• Must have strong collaboration skills.
• Must be able to telework effectively within the Redstone Arsenal, Alabama area.
• Secret clearance.
Desired Skills/Experience:
• 5+ years of program integration experience in Army Aviation Acquisition Program Office
• DAU Program Management Level II
• Expertise in DoDI 5000.02
• Knowledge of US Army staffing process and procedures
• Experience working with an Integrated Master Schedule
