Team Lead, Engineering - Growth

Sinch is looking for an Engineering, Team Lead to join our Growth team. This team is responsible for defining, building and optimizing product experiences that grow Sinch email's core businesses. As the leader of this team, you would be responsible for the direct management of a group of software engineers, product planning, leading operational challenges at scale, and quality of the software development process. Additionally, as our organization is growing, hiring top-notch engineers is always a key focus!

Responsibilities

• Managing a team of 3-5 software engineers
• Support the career growth for our team of Software Developers through focused one-on-ones and team meetings.
• Work closely with our Product Managers to define the product roadmap.
• Develop, and monitor SLOs for the services that run in production.
• Help identify and solve issues coming from support staff, other engineering teams, and our automated monitoring systems.
• Work with other engineering leaders to grow our engineering organization.
• Hire and strengthen our team.

Requirements

• Knowledge of professional software engineering practices for the software development process including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Expertise in developer tools or software development lifecycle (SDLC) systems (continuous integration, version control, source code repositories, build systems, package management, deployment tools, test frameworks, etc.)
• Excellent in communication with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Fundamental knowledge about system design and software architecture.
• Passion, conviction and the dedication to inspire others, and the ability to establish and sell the business and technical vision for a complicated problem area.
• Outstanding customer relationship skills including the ability to discover the true requirements underlying feature requests, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines with quality solutions.
• Experienced using the following technologies for solution engineering is preferred: React, Python, PHP, Node.js, SQL databases, ELK Stack
• Experience with split.io or other rapid experiment tools
• Able to help build and drive development and objective solution performance metrics against OKR’s

The annual starting salary for this position is between $124,800 - 163,800. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications.
