Technical Product Manager, Robotics AI
General MotorsAbout the role
Job Description
General Motors is building one of the most ambitious AI programs in manufacturing — systems capable of autonomously manipulating thousands of parts across GM’s global plant network.
This effort combines robotics, machine learning, large-scale data infrastructure, simulation environments, and real-world factory deployments. Our team is developing multiple AI capabilities in parallel, including perception-based manipulation, grasp pose estimation, hierarchical planning, and vision-language-action models.
We are seeking a Technical Product Manager to drive execution across this program. In this role, you will operate at the center of the initiative, coordinating work across AI research, robotics engineering, data infrastructure, simulation platforms, and manufacturing deployment teams. You will help translate complex technical work into structured execution plans and support the delivery of production-ready AI robotics systems at manufacturing scale.
What You’ll Do
Drive Program Execution
Lead program execution across AI research, robotics development, simulation, and factory deployment workstreams
Track milestones, manage dependencies, and resolve cross-team blockers
Run program reviews and coordination loops across AI Research, Robotics Engineering, Data Engineering, and Manufacturing teams
Lead Data Program Execution
Drive data strategy across multiple sources including factory robotic systems, simulation-generated data, teleoperation data collection, and internal datasets
Partner with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure data pipelines support model training, evaluation, and deployment
Communicate Program Progress
Prepare structured updates on program progress, risks, and key decisions for leadership
Translate complex
