About the role

Job Description:

Role Summary/Purpose:

This position will support a variety of Client Accounting tasks and requires collaboration within the Client Accounting team, cross functional business teams, and others within the finance organization.

This role will support various projects related to rewards, client program changes, new product offerings, system/software changes, and other business changes that impact Client Accounting. This role reports directly to the VP, Controllership-Client Accounting Projects Leader.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Support projects by creating requirements, completing testing, implementation, etc.

  • Support various other processes such as daily sales balancing, automation, reconciliations, journal entries, etc.

  • Drive business productivity and Controllership process improvements and simplification.

  • Maintain/enhance documentation around Client Accounting automation processes – entry creation rules, auto sweeps, rewards mapping, etc.

  • Participate in monthly close process, including but not limited to, reviewing and approving journal entries, balance sheet and P&L analysis, account reconciliations, and other tasks as assigned.

  • Support governance and audit activities including, but not limited to, gathering requested items, validating process documentation is accurate and comprehensive – job aids, process flows, etc. – and responding to any follow up questions.

  • Assist in maintaining the Client Accounting SharePoint site, as well as the various external facing client sites.

  • Maintain thorough understanding of end to end business processes.

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or in lieu of degree, 10 years equivalent experience.

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, in a large corporation environment.

  • Minimum 1 year of experience with Oracle, Fiserv OR Hyperion

Desired Characteristics:

  • Previous wing-to-wing experience with Projects

  • Experience in monthly Close process

  • Experience with Oracle, FISERV, Hyperion

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments and work effectively under time constraints

  • Excellent communication skills – able to work across multiple functions and levels to clearly communicate financial information

  • Detail oriented

  • Strong writing skills

  • Able to work independently, lead projects and drive to completion

Grade/Level: 11

                                                                                      

The salary range for this position is 90,000.00 - 155,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

                                 

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles.  Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles.  Employees, le
