The Maintenance Repairer 2 performs general repairs, upgrades and maintenance to all equipment and building systems associated with the physical plant.
Minimum Qualifications
Two years of experience or training in the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, or park operations and grounds maintenance; OR
Completion of a two-year vocational technical program in general building construction, construction technology, or engineering; OR
Twelve semester hours in construction management, construction technology, or engineering, or any combination of these courses.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
- Services, repairs and maintains all equipment as assigned or in accordance with preventative maintenance program.
- Performs major repairs, safety inspections, and upgrades to a variety of building systems as assigned.
- Troubleshoots any equipment issues and determines the best course of action for completing the repair.
- Keeps records of all work and preventative maintenance tasks as directed.
- Performs grounds upkeep and other general duties to ensure that all facilities are presentable and in line with departmental standards.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Learned physical skill is required for proper safe lifting and material handling techniques. Must be able to lift and move heavy equipment and material (70+) lbs. Must have the ability to drive and operate a truck, forklifts, pallet jacks and hand trucks.
