Grounds Worker, Part Time

Description

Help care for and maintain an outdoor environment that contributes to the Conference Center mission: Impacting lives for God’s glory through purposeful hospitality!

Responsibilities

• Support lawn care through mowing, edging grass, and mulching
• Preserve plant care by pruning, spraying, trimming, planting and fertilizing
• Maintain a clean outdoor environment by removing campus trash
• Keep walkways safe by seasonally removing snow and leaves

Requirements

• Ability to work cooperatively with team members
• Ability to see how work impacts overall guest experience
• Attention to detail
• Servant-hearted
• Strong work ethic

Education, Work Experience, and Other Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Landscaping or lawn care management experience (preferred)
• Must possess a valid driver’s license

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Must possess the necessary physical stamina for walking/standing/working for extended periods (up to 12 hours)
• Ability to lift 100 pounds repetitively
• Good body mobility with good range of motion from floor level to overhead
• Able to work outdoors in varying and inclement weather conditions
• Work will include significant amounts of bending, stretching, kneeling, twisting, climbing, and lifting daily
• Must possess the ability to use hand and power tools
• Must possess normal vision, hearing and sense of smell
