Job Description
As a Manufacturing Planner/Buyer at Bosch, you will be responsible for the planning, reviewing, and managing of orders to assure timely delivery of goods and services to support operations, manufacturing, and customers. This position would focus on logistics purchasing/buying.
Some of the key competencies we're looking for include:
- Demonstrated understanding of manufacturing planning concepts, purchasing concepts, forecasting, and MRP required
- Knowledge of Business Process Flow, including demonstrated understanding of components of total cost (material, labor, and overhead) as well as transaction costs.
- Capacity plan due to shop constraints.
- Work with the Shop Floor Coordinator to assist in meeting goals on the production floor
- Knowledge of inventory management concepts and techniques
- Knowledge of ERP systems
- PC computing skills including word processing and spreadsheet software
- Strong organizational skills and prioritization skills with the ability to handle multiple projects at one time, including following up on his/her own actions
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, both internally and externally
- Demonstrated problem solving skills Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to arrive at creative win/win solutions
- Self-motivator
- Ability to work as part of a team, and be persistent when dealing with Suppliers and internal departments, including but not limited to engineering, finance, sales, and project management
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 2+ years Manufacturing and Materials Planning or related experience
- Demonstrated experience in following-up and/or expediting for needed actions
- Understanding of basic ERP/MRP planning a real plus
