Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Human Resources and Payroll departments in managing the Company’s global equity plans, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of equity transactions.
- Oversee valuation of time-based, performance-based and employee stock purchase plan (ESPP) share-based awards and related deferred tax asset calculations.
- Manage quarterly and annual share-based compensation expense reporting, including budgeting, reforecasting, analytical and modeling processes.
- Lead the preparation of financial statement disclosures related to Arch’s Long-term Incentive and Share Award Plans under U.S. GAAP, IFRS and local statutory reporting frameworks.
- Provide accurate and timely shares outstanding figures for use in SEC filings (e.g., 10-K, 10-Q, Proxy), earnings reports, and investor presentations.
- Assist the payroll department to ensure accurate reporting of share-based transactions in employees’ earnings statements.
- Administer the semiannual Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) enrollment and share purchases.
- Reconcile equity activity, including shares outstanding and reserves, across company records with the transfer agent and reporting, and reviewing activity of share pool balances.
- Prepare and review financial reports concerning equity compensation expenses, payroll liabilities, and accruals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Uphold the integrity and accuracy of employee and equity data in the stock administration system.
- Foster relationships with internal departments, stock plan providers, brokers, and transfer agents.
- Supervise the sourcing of equity awards across multiple tax jurisdictions, coordinating split reporting of taxable income, and collaborating with tax advisors, HR, Finance and Payroll teams.
- Stay updated on global tax rates, while guaranteeing compliance with tax regulations, internal policies, and SOX controls.
- Conduct monthly payroll and equity ledger account reconciliations with precision, resolve variances, and deliver comprehensive accounting packages to various business segments.
- Uphold and enhance (as necessary) robust controls and procedures to mitigate risks associated with equity and payroll transactions, ensuring alignment with internal policies and external regulations.
- Collaborate closely with Legal, Finance, and HR teams to facilitate communication of materials, compliance updates, processes, and management reports, particularly regarding global payroll and equity matters.
- Proactively identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement within the Payroll and Equity Operations function.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent education and experience.
- Preferably hold a CPA license or CEP designation, underscoring your commitment to excellence and advanced knowledge.
- 5+ years of experience in equity operations, payroll accounting, or related roles, with a strong understanding of equity financial reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in Workday Payroll and Financial management systems is a plus.
- Proficiency in EquiView equity administration platform is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex equity and payroll data and identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance, particularly in a highly regulated environment.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications used for data analysis and reporting.
- Proactive problem-solver with a continuous improvement mindset and a willingness to challenge the status quo.

For individuals assigned or hired to work in the location(s) indicated below, the base salary range is provided. Range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.
$107,900 - $145,700/year
Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above pay range may be modified in the future.
