Postdoctoral Psychologist (PhD or PsyD) As a postdoctoral psychologist/psychology associate at Ellie Mental Health’s locally owned and operated clinic in Columbia, Maryland, you'll share our vision for improving and expanding access to quality mental health care and thrive in an environment driven by our core values of authenticity, humor, compassion, creativity, acceptance, and determination.

Office Location:
Conveniently located near the Columbia Mall at 10025 Governor Warfield Parkway, Suite 206, Columbia, MD 21044  
Responsibilities include:
 
  • Evaluate mental health diagnoses, create, implement, and maintain treatment plans and complete ongoing documentation in a timely manner  
  • Provide excellent customer service for clients and collaborate with a dynamic team to further the mission of filling gaps in your community  
  • Utilize creativity in interventions to help clients achieve and exceed goals  
  • Actively engage in consultations with your colleagues to ensure high quality care for all office clients
  • Engage in continued learning of applied skills through active participation in weekly supervision and continuing education activities
  • Opportunities to lead in-house trainings, lead community-based projects, and participate in outreach activities 
Required Qualifications and Skills:  
  • Completed doctoral degree required; will need to register as a psychology associate with the state of Maryland after accepting job offer which requires passing the Maryland jurisprudence exam and a criminal background check
  • Experience with completing diagnostic evaluations, treatment plans and clinical case notes in a timely manner 
  • Comfort and familiarity working with a diverse client base   
  • Candidates must be able to work in Maryland as a registered psychology associate, or relocating to Maryland
  • Ideal candidates will have a general knowledge of therapy services, community resources, insurance billing, and previous experience with mental health documentation 
  • Ability to demonstrate and model stable, appropriate boundaries with clients  
  • Opportunities for individual, family, and group therapy services as well as Telehealth. BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ encouraged to apply   
  • Proficient or able to quickly learn to use of Office 365 and EHR systems (Valant)

  • All providers on the team have the option of participating in outreach events and community partnerships to develop connections in their own areas of professional development goals; the directors will support the professional development of each provider, rather than try to fit a provider into an existing "mold"
