Role Description
Form Energy is hiring a Director of Global Supply Management (GSM) to lead our product-level procurement and sourcing activities. This role reports to our Senior Director of Global Supply Chain in our Operations organization. As the leader of our Direct GSM team, you will develop, implement and execute our company's procurement strategies and processes to achieve quality, cost, inventory, and performance requirements. You will work in collaboration/partnership with Engineering, Finance, Quality, Manufacturing, and Development teams. What You'll Do:
Lead, mentor, and coordinate the activities of our Global Supply Management team engaged in purchasing for our Product components and raw materials.
Develop and execute sourcing strategies that utilize negotiation, market dynamics, and purchasing techniques to ensure the very best quality, cost, delivery, and service levels.
Own key Supplier relationships and develop and foster partnerships across the value chain to ensure Form’s ability to scale.
Interface with the Executive team and support organizational and management objectives by identifying and negotiating commercial cost reduction opportunities, including make vs. buy decisions.
Own responsibility for identifying, developing, negotiating, and managing relationships with vendors to supply critical materials for Form’s energy storage products. The scope will include mechanical, electrical, chemical components and raw materials, as well as contract manufacture and assembly of certain components.
What You'll Bring:
10+ years of experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain, and/or Contract Management, with at least 5 years in a management role
Prior leadership and management experience is required, demonstrating a clear record of success in building industry-leading teams that can execute in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Understanding of contract fundamentals; demonstrated skills in supplier operational and relationship management.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally approx. 30% of the time.
Bachelor or Masters in Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Industrial Engineering or a similar discipline.
Experience with direct material sourcing in a manufacturing environment and ability to generate bottom-up should costs based on the understanding of the manufacturing process.
