Minimum Biweekly Rate of Pay $1,964.32 (In accordance with current spending restrictions, an internal promotion into the position will be filled at the minimum of the pay grade or up to 5% of the employee’s current rate, whichever is higher.)

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Conducts multi-disciplinary case conferences and placement planning for youth recommended for commitment to the department. Ensures compliance with state regulations regarding multi-disciplinary case conferences and placement planning for committed youth, including transfer staffing.

Serves as the backup to the regional commitment chief acting on behalf of the Director in their absence and assumes operations responsibilities for administrative functions.  Assists commitment staff as required by the commitment chief.  Attend meetings on behalf of regional commitment chief as needed.

Responsible for coordinating placement planning within existing commitment resources as well as utilizing and ensuring all appropriate data is entered into the Juvenile Justice Information System (JJIS). Prepares all related reports and recommendations for corrective action and performs ongoing monitoring of corrective actions.

Coordinate regional activities required to reduce the number of committed youths awaiting placement. Visits regional commitment programs. Travels to contracted provider programs within the central region.

Utilizes the JJIS (Juvenile Justice Information System) to assess program performance, evaluate trend data and develop appropriate management strategies.
