IT Program Manager - Enterprise Architecture

TechFlow, Inc. is hiring an IT Program Manager who will support our federal customer in leveraging architecture capabilities to create defined outputs and facilitate defined target architecture processes. The IT Program Manager will provide knowledgeable and innovative insights into technology products or services across all Information Technology (IT) portfolios, strengthening cybersecurity, IT acquisition, IT security, executive oversight, and promoting the use and deployment of best of breed technologies using a unified framework for collectively managing IT investments. The ideal candidate will have expertise in solutions and enterprise architecture and project management experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manages long-term IT projects, performs design evaluations and works to complete
- Provide the ability to manage projects that may vary by project type (i.e., a new project, an existing project, a project being transitioned from another delivery provider, etc.), size, complexity, project life cycle phases, development methods (e.g. SCRUM, spiral, etc.).
- Support the development of briefings, agendas, and other general documentation support as directed, including training material and demonstration sessions for new and existing technologies to various DHS stakeholders.
- Develop and manage project schedules, including integrated project schedules, and plans using the tools as defined by the Government (i.e., Microsoft Project, JIRA).
- Drive multiple customer solution design projects in parallel
- Problem-solve novel solutions, architectures and use cases to help customers meet their objectives
- Provide robust recommendations for engagements while also identifying critical dependencies & gaps
- Present proposals to senior government officials in a clear and compelling way
- Continuously improve the team’s knowledge, methodologies and inventory of solution design blueprints for key customer segments and classes of use cases.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- General work experience may be substituted for education. The requirement for education levels can be substituted at the rate of 1.5 years of experience for every year of education. A Bachelor’s degree is 4 years of education. The work experience to be substituted for education must be in a relevant field such as Information Technology, Information Security, or an MBA. The years of specific experience used for satisfying an education requirement cannot also be used as filling the work experience requirement.
- 7+ years of experience in project management to include work in design, analysis, and implementation of information systems architecture
- Knowledge of the DHS EA/FEAF documentation requirements
- Enterprise and Target Architecture development and documentation experience
- Ability to effectively manage team resource allocation in the face of competing demands
- Experience implementing successful Program Management techniques
- Strong communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills
- Balance of business and technology acumen, including ability to articulate high level technical solutions to business problems and to tie your solutions to program success criteria
- Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust
Preferred Qualifications
- MS in Computer Science, Engineering
- PMP certification
- FEAF/CEA certification
