Hybrid workforce:

Experity offers Team Members the opportunity to work remotely or in an office. While this position allows remote work, we require Team Members to live within a commutable distance from one of our locations to ensure you are available to come into the office as needed.

Job Summary: 

As a Data Engineer I, you will be an entry-level member of our data engineering team. You will assist in the development and maintenance of data pipelines, contribute to the integration of new data sources, and support data quality efforts. This role is ideal for someone eager to develop their technical skills in a collaborative environment and grow within the data engineering field.

Responsibilities:

  • Document data pipeline designs, processes, and best practices to ensure knowledge sharing and maintainability.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide insights, updates, and recommendations on data engineering initiatives.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of data pipelines to ingest and process data from various sources.
  • Support the implementation of ETL processes under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Contribute to data validation, cleansing, and quality assurance efforts.
  • Collaborate with team members to understand data requirements and deliver data solutions.
  • Participate in the integration of new data sources into existing systems.
  • Provide support in monitoring and optimizing data pipeline performance.
  • Document processes, findings, and best practices as part of the team's knowledge base.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in data engineering, data pipeline development, and ETL processes.
  • Basic understanding of programming languages such as Python or SQL.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and cloud-based platforms is a plus.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong focus on data-centric solutions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language.

Preferred: 

  • Master’s degree.
  • Experience with data vis
