This position is part of the Office of the General Counsel (OGC), which represents The University of Tennessee, a statewide system of public higher education.
This position will be involved in proactively supporting OGC attorneys and advising a diverse group of University leaders on a wide variety of matters, including contracts and procurement, business transactions, and University policies, matters relating to sponsored research and research compliance, and athletics transactions. The position is located in the OGC’s office in Knoxville, Tennessee, but responsibilities of the position will involve service and travel to all campuses and institutes in the University system.
JD from an accredited law school; Tennessee law license or eligibility for Tennessee license; minimum of two (2) years of relevant legal experience; strong academic record; and strong legal writing and oral communication skills.
