In line to support and execute on Genmab´s 2030 vision, we are looking for a Senior Project Manager for the R&D Strategic Initiatives – Development (five-month contract position with the possibility of conversion to a full-time, permanent position). The R&D Strategic Initiatives (RDSI) team supports the continued build, strengthening and expansion of the Genmab R&D engine where innovation, AI and digital aspects are used as key aspects in the solutioning. You will join an energetic, dedicated team of Project Managers based across US, DK and NL.
The Senior Manager, RDSI-Development will report to Project lead/Director, RDSI-Development
Responsibilities:
- Manage projects in Development ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, and quality standards.
- Bridge and collaborate with cross-functional teams (incl. external partners where relevant), to define project objectives, deliverables, and milestones.
- Work with the cross-functional project teams to drive progress and deliverables – hands on when needed.
- Monitor and analyze project progress, proactively identify risks and challenges, and develop strategies to mitigate them while ensuring key stakeholders are informed
- Drive meetings, develop agendas, communicate meeting outcomes and track actions until completion.
- Lead the communication of plans, issues, progress, risks to the key partners in timely manner.
- Prepare project reports, presentations to stakeholders.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting effective communication and teamwork among project team members.
- Be objective sparring partner to team members during solutioning and troubleshooting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in science or related area. Advanced degree (MS/MBA/PhD) preferred Project Management certification is a plus
- 6-8 years of experience in biotech/ pharma or related industry with 3+ years in project management
- Experience of working in cross-functional environment
- Proven track record in project management, demonstrating the ability to effectively plan, execute, and deliver complex research projects
- Strong leadership skills with experience in leading teams, coordinating activities, and managing project resources.
- Excellent stakeholder, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Innovative and strategic mindset, results oriented and with an eye towards the bigger picture.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
- Familiarity with regulatory guidelines in development (preferred).
