This position serves as the Payroll Specialist – Team A.  In this role you will be responsible for performing complex, specialized professional duties in payroll functions. As a Payroll Coordinator, you will provide technical support regarding statewide policies and procedures for payroll operations and serve as a lead worker. In addition, you will compile and direct the preparation of reporting relating to payroll processes and confer with managers and supervisors throughout DoIT, IL Office of the Comptroller, State Employees Retirement Systems, HR staff, legislative staff, and individual employees in response to inquiries relative to payroll processes. This position is also responsible for conducting periodic audits of payroll records to ensure compliance and training new Team A payroll staff for DoIT on the Central Payroll System and in the implementation of the new laws, procedures, rules, or regulations.
