About the role

Medication Technician

Garden City, ID | Full-time & Part-time | Day, Evening, and Overnight (NOC) shifts available

Precision, patience, and heart — all in one role.

We're hiring a Medication Technician to join our care team. You'll be responsible for safely administering and documenting medications for our residents, while also supporting them through the everyday moments that make a community feel like home. It's a role that takes focus, follow-through, and compassion.

What you'll do

You'll be the trusted hands behind every medication pass, and a caregiver in every other moment of the shift. Specifically, you'll:

  • Administer and document medications accurately, following each resident's physician orders and our community's protocols
  • Observe residents for changes in condition, side effects, or reactions — and report concerns promptly to nursing leadership
  • Maintain accurate MAR records and ensure medication storage stays secure and organized
  • Assist residents with daily living activities: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, and mobility
  • Support meal service, light housekeeping, laundry, and resident activities as part of the care team
  • Communicate clearly with families, teammates, and supervisors to keep everyone informed

What we're looking for

  • Medication Assistant certification (or Idaho state equivalent) — required
  • At least 18 years old
  • Working knowledge of common medications, drug interactions, and how to follow physician instructions
  • A patient, compassionate approach with older adults
  • Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy with sensitive information
  • Able to lift up to 35 pounds and stay active throughout your shift
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice to have

  • CNA certification
  • CPR, First Aid, and Food Handler's cards
  • Prior caregiving experience in assisted living
  • Experience with electronic medication records

A few things to know

  • Background check and pre-employment drug screen
  • Monthly continuing education provided to keep your certification and skills current
  • This is hands-on, physical work — lots of standing, walking, bending, and lifting

Why join us

You'll be part of a team that takes medication safety seriously and treats every resident like family. We'll invest in your training, support your certifications, and trust you with real responsibility from day one. The work is meaningful, the team is steady, and the residents will remember your kindness for a long time to come.

Ready to bring your skills and your heart to a place that values both? Apply today.
