JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center is seeking a part-time Postdoctoral Scholar to join the Department of Psychiatry and Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. This position is of one-year duration but is potentially renewable for an additional one to two years, depending on performance and available funds.
The postdoctoral fellow will be responsible for coordinating ongoing studies. The fellow will conduct statistical analyses, take a leadership role on multiple publications, and actively participate in grant applications. The postdoctoral fellow will be encouraged to develop new ideas that promote current research, such as new methods for data analysis. Opportunities to apply for independent funding will be available and encouraged. The initial appointment is for one year, with expected renewal if progress is satisfactory and funds are available.
PhD, MD, DO, or equivalent degree. Education and research experience in the areas of outcomes research. Successful applicants will have demonstrated success in research, scholarship, and/or grant-funded research. A commitment to excellence in teaching as well as excellent oral and written communication skills is also expected.
