What you will do

The candidate will need to be able to analyze samples for nannofossil biostratigraphy, identify key marker species, and develop highly-resolved age frameworks. Additional responsibilities include working with micropaleontologists, palynologists, and geologists to determine an integrated age framework and paleoenvironmental interpretation.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a nannofossil biostratigrapher within industry analyzing samples/microscopy work, interpretation of internal and external biostratigraphic data sets, and integration of biostratigraphic data sets with wireline logs, core descriptions and seismic frameworks.
  • Strong nannofossil taxonomic species’ concepts and identification from Mesozoic to Recent.
