Job Opportunity:

A well-established steel fabrication company specializing in pipe and casing products is seeking a Drive Systems & Controls Specialist to join its team. This is a great opportunity to be part of a dynamic industry with a strong focus on safety, teamwork, and quality.

Job Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will be responsible for various maintenance, repair, and installation tasks, including but not limited to:

·  Diagnosing and resolving issues related to control and drive systems efficiently.

·  Managing, updating, and implementing the Maintenance Management System.

·  Collaborating with the maintenance team to troubleshoot and resolve equipment concerns.

·  Communicating ongoing technical issues and providing regular status updates.

·  Contributing to and leading preventative maintenance programs.

·  Gaining an in-depth understanding of operating equipment.

·  Conducting active analysis and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.

·  Leading efforts to resolve measurement and control system issues, including PLCs, drives, and sensors.

·  Performing routine electrical repairs.

·  Participating in and leading continuous improvement projects.

·  Ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.

·  Performing additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience:

·  Valid NYS Drive Systems and Controls or Industrial Electrician Mechanic’s License.

·  Minimum 5 years of experience working with instrumentation and automated controls in a manufacturing environment.

·  Strong ability to read electrical control system schematics or programming logic.

·  At least 3 years of hands-on experience with PCS/SCADA systems.

·  Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PCS/SCADA, PLC, and HMI programming, including Allen Bradley and Siemens.

·  Practical knowledge of motor controls (AC, DC), motion servo controls, man-machine safety interfaces, and various automation systems.

·  Ability to travel to Canada when required.

Preferred Qualifications:

·  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·  Experience working with AS400 systems is a plus.

Education & Experience Requirements:

·  Minimum Education: Associate’s Degree (Required)

·  Experience: At least 3 years working with PLC/SCADA systems (Required)
