This 100-bed hospital serves the communities in and around Martin County. Here, you will work alongside passionate physicians, nurses and other caregivers in a family-oriented, supportive environment.

 

Caregivers in Martin South Hospital’s 3A Med/Surg Telemetry Unit provide care to adult patients with a variety of medical issues or patients preparing for or recovering from surgery. Med/surg caregivers care for a broad spectrum of patients, giving them a vast and broad clinical skillset. As an RN on this team, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care, from initial introduction to discharge. In this role, you will interact directly with patients, families and visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and supply healthcare education as needed. Additionally, the Cleveland Clinic system provides nurses with many professional development resources, including furthering education and online/in-person courses to enhance your skills. 

 

A caregiver in this position works nights from 7:00 p.m. -- 7:30 a.m. 

 

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.  

  • Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.  

  • Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care (acuity of need, patient preference and resource availability).  

  • Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate action to correct, reduce or prevent risk 

  • Seek supervision, consultation and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.  

  • Document in patients’ medical records.  

  •  

 

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: 

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing  

  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)   

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) 

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification through the American Heart Association within one year of hire  

  • New graduate RN OR less than one year of RN work experience 

 

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: 

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
