Job Description

Qualifications 
To be successful in this role you have: 

• Experience working on and leading enterprise application software development teams; in particular, experience working on development of the security features of software platforms which enable application development 

• 10+ years in software development leadership roles. Must have managed teams of 50+ including teams on different continents 

• Experience in the following technical areas: Java, JavaScript, relational databases, applied cryptography, access controls, the web stack (HTML, AJAX, REST, HTTP, etc.) 

• Working experience with software engineering best practices including coding standards, code reviews, build processes, and testing. 

• Ability to make continuous improvements in the team through small and iterative changes. 

• Strong knowledge of engineering design patterns, processes, and best practices 

• Willingness to work hands-on with the team to identify defects during code review, troubleshoot customer issues and defects, and architect solutions to features and problems. 

• A strong focus on customer outcomes and the ability to work cross-functionally to achieve business outcomes. 

• Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent organization and time management skills. 

Qualifications

• Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI’s potential impact on the function or industry. 
• Experience leading teams developing on enterprise platforms 
• Experience with Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and/or Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC) 
• Experience with applied cryptography: block and streaming cyphers, hashing algorithms, secure key exchange, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), FIPS-compliant systems, and regulatory audit processes 
• Experience building crypto gateways, proxies, or middleware layers for API security 
• Experience with Kubernetes, cloud-native stacks, load balancers, and service mesh architecture 
• Experience with OAuth, OpenID, PASETO, and/or other token authentication standards 
• Proven success on cross-functional projects with diverse stakeholders

For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $250,200 - $437,900, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs. Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located and is subject to change based on work location.
