Position Summary
The Brunswick Job Corps Center, operated by Adams and Associates, Inc., is hiring a Dorm Supervisor responsible for providing students in the dormitory with a safe, clean, and structured living environment that fosters retention, satisfaction, achievement, and success. The Supervisor oversees the daily management of the dorm area and uses proper judgment to resolve issues and concerns among students and staff. They also provide individualized case management in conjunction with counseling staff to maintain student enrollment and success in the program.
Responsibilities

Coordinate staff coverage to ensure student areas are supervised

Maintain an active list of substitute Residential Advisors to fill staff vacancies

Interview, recommend for hire, discipline, and evaluate the performance of employees in the Residential Department

Oversee the student dorm leadership program

Participate in case management and success teams to ensure student success

Ensure the accuracy and completeness of incident and shift reports

Ensure the physical security of the dorm area and report concerns to senior management

Maintain adequate levels of inventory and proactively order supplies

Resolve student and staff issues and concerns with proper judgment

Foster a positive living environment that supports student achievement
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate of Arts Degree from an accredited school preferred. A minimum of one-year Job Corps or related program experience required. A valid in-State Driver’s License preferred.
Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching. Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and / or the ability to assess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance.
