About the role
River Oaks Country Club is seeking for passionate and dedicated Culinary professionals to join our ROCC Culinary Team where you will get to experience food production & culinary innovation. Our Culinary Team takes on the production throughout 7 kitchens and 4 restaurant concepts. We are looking for individuals with passion for excellence, articulate, confident and an eye for detail. ROCC provides its employees with brand new facilities including cafeteria, lounge, employee gym and locker rooms! This position will report to Executive Sous Chef.

Full-time hourly position ~ able to work weekdays & weekends
Shifts: 1pm to Close
Salary: $16.00-17.00 per hour, based on proven experience & kitchen position
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assures all menu items are prepared and are fresh prior to service
- Serves items in accordance with established portions and presentation standards
- Sets up service units with needed items; Sets up, maintains and breaks down work station
- Requisitions items needed to produce menu items; Notifies Sous Chef of expected shortages
- Adheres to state and local health and safety regulations; Ensures work areas and equipment are clean and sanitary.
- Assists the Sous Chef in maintaining security and safety in the kitchen
- Maintains neat professional appearance and observes personal cleanliness rules
- Covers, dates and properly stocks all food production/stores leftover products that are re-usable
- Follow Club’s menu recipes & procedures with all food production. Is required to speak with a direct supervisor before making any changes to Club's recipe's and/or Club procedures.
- At least 2 or more year’s on the job culinary experience at a Mid-Scale or Upscale Dining Restaurant, Hotel or Country Club
- Working knowledge of Kitchen Stations (Fry Station, Broiler Station, Sautee Station, Grill Station & Pantry)
- Provide a valid Texas Food Handlers Certificate
- Must be able to work a flexible full time schedule (including weekends & holidays)
- Ability to read, speak and interpret documents in clear English
- Enjoys working hard; Quick learner who is open to change
