Our corporate office in Indianapolis, IN, is on the lookout for a Full-Time Civil & Landscape Design Manager who will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of residential projects. This position offers the chance to collaborate with industry leaders and make a lasting impact on the communities we build. In this role, you’ll work closely with our design and preconstruction managers, overseeing the site design for residential projects. Your expertise will span civil engineering, landscape architecture, and more. Guided by the Senior Director of Civil & Landscape Design, you'll ensure that every project meets our high standards of quality, creativity, and cost-efficiency. What You'll Do:
- Ensure Excellence: Review construction documents for completeness, constructability, and adherence to our Residential Design Standards.
- Shape the Future: Collaborate with our vertical design team to create the overall vision and aesthetic of our properties.
- Innovate Amenities: Design and coordinate unique amenities like pools, sport courts, pavilions, and more.
- Streamline Processes: Assist in plan reviews, identify constructability issues, and provide cost-effective, aesthetically pleasing solutions.
- Guide Development: Maintain our Residential Design Guidelines Manual and ensure all project documentation is up to date and compliant.
- Skills & Experience: Advanced computer skills (AutoCAD preferred), a Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field, and 3+ years of experience in a design firm.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to read and understand construction plans, manage multiple tasks, and stay ahead in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel for project needs.
