Communication Specialist, Sr.

We are searching for a Communication Specialist, Sr. for a 1 yr. contract assignment. (W-2)   The person is responsible for contributing to the strategic communication support of a large, high visibility business unit.  The person would be a talented for creative thinking and problem solving.  The person would have the ability to remain flexible and adaptable to meet the demands of internal clients and demonstrate enthusiasm and passion for their business.

 

 

Location:  Juno Beach, FL

1 yr.  contract assignment. (W-2)

 

Responsibilities

• Expected to demonstrate a high degree of initiative and independence in assessing and diagnosing communication needs and taking a hands-on approach to executing a response plan.
• Strong problem-solving skills and creative, out-of-the box thinking. Specific responsibilities include strategic communication planning, writing, message development, following and improving established processes. Strong project management skills.
• Develop quantifiable metrics to track performance and progress.
• Responsibilities are varied and complex and include frequent cross-functional interactions.
• Will interface with business unit leadership and business process owners.

 

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field (Journalism, Communication, Marketing, Liberal Arts, Public Relations, Advertising, etc) required.
• Seven or more years of relevant experience required; experience in three or more communication disciplines required.
• Excellent writing, verbal, editing, presentation, and overall communication skills. Extremely strong AP-style writing and editing skills.
• Expected to demonstrate expertise through writing and editing tests.
• Must demonstrate expertise in the development and disciplined execution of strategic communication plans and using research and audience insight to develop key messages.
• Demonstrated discipline in project execution.
• Ability to follow critical business processes to ensure quality and timely execution of initiatives.

• Ability to multitask and maintain high performance under extreme pressure in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated basic graphic design skills, set-up for print projects and ability to work with vector-based artwork.
