Split POSITION PURPOSE
This dual role is a member of the MercyOne Dyersville Medical Center healthcare team and at times perform CNA duties and/or Phlebotomist duties.
Certified Nurses Assistant
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is a member of the MercyOne Dubuque/Dyersville Medical Center healthcare team and is under the direct supervision of a registered professional nurse. CNAs provide holistic, compassionate, individualized, and effective patient care by assisting the patient with activities of daily living, as well as other physical, emotional, and spiritual needs consistent with the Mission of MercyOne, Vision of Patient Care Services, evidence-based standards of care, and established policies and procedures.
Phelebotomist
Phlebotomists are responsible for collecting blood specimens from patients of all age groups in a timely and accurate manner using appropriate venous, arterial or capillary technique. All specimens are collected strictly following all related policies and procedures. As the face of the laboratory, phlebotomists maintain professional behavior and technical skills at all times demonstrating well developed customer service skills.

What you will do:
CNA

- Record and report information such as vital signs, intake and output, weight, and any behavioral changes to appropriate supervisory personnel.
- Maintain, assemble, and organize equipment needed for a safe secure environment.
- Assist in mealtime activities by delivering and removing patient trays and feeding patients.
