Position Summary:
athenaIT is seeking a dynamic and experienced Workday Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to join our Workforce Technology Team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to drive initiatives that enhance our workforce technology. The BSA will be responsible for delivering and supporting Workforce Technology projects by partnering with athenahealth business process owners, athenaIT Business Systems Analysts, Project Management, and Development teams. This position will primarily focus on Workday and will involve supporting and expanding Workday and related HR platforms at athenahealth.
The ideal candidate will be a high-energy, detail-oriented, and analytical professional with a strong background in HR functions within a high-tech software environment. You will have a proven track record of transforming business requirements into system enhancements that advance Workforce Technology initiatives and provide value to all athenahealth employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stay ahead of the technology curve by exploring Workday technical roadmaps, vision, and other relevant resources to leverage innovations in the marketplace.
- Drive standardization, governance, and best practices across the Workday tenant.
- Collaborate with internal organizations (HR Operations, Total Rewards, Recruiting) to ensure accurate and timely data supports business decision-making.
- Provide cross-functional support across various Workday functional areas.
- Define and implement system enhancements that align with business goals, advising on best practices and recommending process improvements for scalability and efficiency.
- Gather, analyze, and document functional and technical requirements for new projects, enhancements to existing solutions, and production issues reported by end users.
- Perform application configuration activities primarily in Workday, with occasional involvement in other supporting Workforce applications.
- Partner with HR, finance, and data stakeholders to analyze and improve employee productivity and end-user effectiveness.
- Manage stakeholder relationships and prioritize athenaIT configuration/development activities that best support business objectives.
Typical Qualifications:
- 4-6 years of experience in a system administration and reporting role.
- Hands-on experience with Workday functional components, including Core HCM, Recruiting, Benefits, Compensation, and Time Tracking.
- Proficiency in Workday reporting.
- Experience configuring cloud applications.
- Familiarity with creating and executing unit, integration, and user acceptance test plans is preferred.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and business stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
