About the Galaxy Summer Internship Program:

The Galaxy NYC Summer Internship Program is an immersive and exciting, nine-week experience taking place on-site in our New York HQ office. During the nine weeks, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on, practical work experience on our Infrastructure and Security team. We're looking for both an Infrastructure and Security intern.

As an Infrastructure intern focused on Cloud, you will play a key role in managing and maintaining the IT infrastructure of Galaxy’s data centers or cloud environments. Depending on your team assignment, you may assist in tasks ranging from configuration of hardware and software, as well as working with various blockchains around the world.

As a Security intern, you'll work with cybersecurity to improve our protection against supply chain risk and be tasks with implementing a project to integrate signals from our various cybersecurity solutions and produce and enrich dashboard and/or alerts regarding critical risks. The signals could pertain to the composition of our various application and services artefacts, external services and parties used in the context of DeFi and blockchain architectures, or others. In this task, you will work closely with product security engineers, as well as other SMEs of the technology function. Our team's product security engineers all come from a software development background and will be able to help you design and drive the implementation, including any coding or automation part.

In addition to learning on the job, Galaxy interns participate in professional development programming, fun social events, and networking opportunities with senior leaders. 

Program Dates: June 9th – August 8th, 2025

What You’ll Do:

• Deploy/Maintain/Configure Amazon resources, including EC2 running blockchain validators
• Research and Engineering of potential new blockchains of interest to Galaxy
• Continue improvement of security monitoring, as well as security processes
• Hands on with AWS as well as baremetal on-prem resources
• With guidance from ProdSec engineers, evaluate how the available security solutions, and additional external sources, are needed for the project
• Propose design to the team, work collaboratively with ProdSec engineers to enrich the design and perform threat modeling
• Implement and follow secure development lifecycle
• Technologies you will use: Terraform, Ansible, python, bash

What We’re Looking For:

• Pursuing a a degree in Computer Science, Electronic or Computer Engineering, or Cybersecurity 
• Desire to take initiative and carry a project from start to finish
• Ability to work in SCRUM/Agile environment
